Five Free Social Media Tools You Should Be Using

Whether you're a business owner or a social media manager, using social media tools will help you efficiently manage your accounts. While there are many social media tools available that can help you schedule, analyze, and improve your social media presence, here are some of our favorites that are free:

  1. Later: We LOVE this tool! You can access it on a web browser or through the app (we prefer the web browser 😅). Later is a social media management platform and link in bio tool for every social network, but it is definitely a must-have for anyone managing an Instagram account. You can plan, analyze, and publish content in advance, and it allows you to fully utilize your Instagram link in bio. The link in bio lets you hyperlink individual posts and still display buttons to drive traffic to your website, shop, and more. Create a free account.

  2. TweetDeck: TweetDeck is a Twitter management tool that allows you to manage multiple Twitter accounts, schedule tweets, and monitor activity on the platform. Start using TweetDeck.

  3. Quillbot: Quillbot is an online writing assistant that uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to paraphrase sentences and help you check for grammar. Our favorite way to use it is when we need to shorten a caption (especially with Twitter), and this tool helps you rearrange words and get it down to the size you need. Visit Quillbot.

  4. Bitly: Bitly is a URL shortening tool that allows you to track clicks and engagement on your social media links. We love this tool because we get to see the conversion rate and where that traffic is coming from by platform and geolocation. Shorten your links.

  5. Google Alerts: Google Alerts monitors the web for you! You can set up search queries to monitor any keyword or keyword phrase, and Google will send you notifications via email that summarize the search activity around the queries. This is a great resource to help you come up with content for your social pages. Set up Google Alerts.
